RapidScale announces Licensing + Support offering for Citrix Universal Licensing

What’s Happening? 

Citrix has recently implemented significant price increases that are having a major impact on enterprise customers: 

 

1. Massive price hikes:  
Some customers are reporting license cost increases of 300% or more  

2. New licensing model:  
Citrix is transitioning to a new "Universal" subscription model, which bundles Citrix and NetScaler capabilities.  

3. Focus on large customers:  
Citrix is prioritizing its top 1000 customers who spend over $1 million annually.  
Smaller customers are being pushed to work through resellers. 
Citrix has classified 100 partners globally.  RapidScale is one of them. 

4. Shift to annual commitments:  
Citrix is doubling the price of monthly subscriptions starting September 1, 2024, to push customers toward annual contracts. 

5. Limited flexibility:  
The new licensing model makes it difficult for customers to reduce their license count, locking them into higher costs.
