SpaceX raised monthly prices on Starlink's Residential and Roam plans in the US and other markets in May 2026, the first major adjustment since 2023. According to Advanced Television, US Residential tiers rose $5 to $10 a month, with 400+ Mbps service now $130. Roam 100 GB went to $55, Roam Unlimited to $175, and Standby Mode doubled from $5 to $10. Existing subscribers saw the changes on or after June 18. Separately, Starlink emailed customers about changes to its Priority plans: in the US, the Local Priority terminal access fee dropped from $40 to $30 a month, with data blocks of 50 GB for $25 and 500 GB for $125 unchanged. Global Priority pricing stayed at $150 a month plus data.
Many small businesses, farms, job sites and branch offices use Starlink as primary or backup internet. Some bought residential or Roam plans because they were simple. The new pricing changes the math, and the US Local Priority plan, which is aimed at business use, is now cheaper to keep active.
Review which Starlink plan each of your terminals is on and what it actually uses in a month. If a site uses less than about 500 GB, compare Local Priority against Roam Unlimited; one industry analysis notes Local Priority can deliver top-tier priority for less. For backup-only terminals, compare Standby Mode at $10 against a low-usage Priority plan. Note that prices vary by country and region, so confirm current pricing on your own account before switching.
