Logitech launches Teams Rooms devices built on Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform

Logitech introduced a new lineup of Microsoft Teams Rooms devices built on the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP) on October 8, 2026. The Rally Bar 2 all-in-one video bar, the Tap IP 2 in-room touch controller and the Tap Scheduler 2 outside-the-door scheduling panel are available for purchase now. The Rally System 2 Pro for larger or modular spaces, and the RoomMate 2 Pro appliance that drives it, are slated for global availability in summer 2027. Logitech describes MDEP as a secure, enterprise-ready platform aimed at consistency and manageability for IT teams deploying devices at scale. For organizations standardizing on Microsoft Teams, this matters because the underlying platform of room devices affects how they are updated, secured and supported over their life. Logitech says the new devices let organizations adopt MDEP now without waiting years for compatibility. If you are planning a meeting room refresh, ask your AV integrator or advisor which platform each quoted device runs, how long it will receive software and security updates, and how it is managed alongside existing rooms. Confirm whether the devices also support other meeting platforms you need, such as Zoom or Webex, since Logitech's announcement focuses on Teams Rooms. Be mindful of timing on larger rooms. With the Rally System 2 Pro not expected until summer 2027, decide whether to buy current-generation equipment now or wait, and ask about trade-in or upgrade terms if you buy before then.
