D-Link announced on August 12, 2026 an expansion of its DAP-E3620 series of BE3600 Wi-Fi 7 enterprise access points, with ceiling-mount, wall-plate and outdoor models. The dual-band access points support Wi-Fi 7 features including Multi-Link Operation and 4K-QAM, and are managed through D-Link's Nuclias cloud and on-premises controllers. D-Link is pairing them with its DMS-1250 series of 2.5 Gbps multi-gig PoE switches in 10, 12, 18 and 28 port models, aimed at hospitality, education, offices and multi-dwelling units.
The launch is a sign that Wi-Fi 7 is moving into lower-cost, smaller-business product lines, not just high-end enterprise gear. It also shows how vendors are now packaging access points with multi-gig switches, because the switch port and the cable run behind each access point matter as much as the radio. The wall-plate model is aimed at in-room use in hotels, apartments and student housing.
If you manage hotels, apartments, schools or small offices, compare Wi-Fi 7 options from several vendors at the same price tier, and look at the full bill of materials: access points, switches, licensing and management. Confirm the PoE power budget of the switch against the number of access points it will power. For wall-plate deployments, have your cabling contractor verify that the existing in-room cable runs test cleanly before you order hardware. D-Link did not publish pricing or availability dates, so ask your reseller for both.
