HP Inc. reported fiscal third-quarter 2026 results on August 26. Revenue rose 12.5% to $15.7 billion. Personal Systems revenue grew 18% to $11.8 billion, with commercial PC revenue up 22% to $8.6 billion, while the number of units shipped fell 16%. Printing revenue fell 2% to $3.9 billion. HP raised its full-year earnings guidance.
Higher revenue on fewer units means each PC is selling for more, which is what business buyers have been seeing on quotes all year. CFO Karen Parkhill said memory pricing will remain an issue, though the rate of increase is starting to slow in the current quarter. She expects input costs to keep rising into fiscal 2027, but more slowly than in 2026, and expects memory and storage to make up a growing share of a PC's bill of materials. Interim CEO Bruce Broussard pointed to improvements in memory supply and higher order fulfillment rates.
For buyers, this suggests prices are not about to fall back to 2025 levels, even if increases slow. If you are planning a refresh, ask your supplier to lock pricing for the full order and to confirm delivery dates in writing. Consider whether a mix of models fits your needs better than one standard configuration, especially as HP credits part of its growth to AI PCs.
