UK-based IoT connectivity provider CSL Group announced on October 16, 2026 that it has acquired SIMPL Wireless, a US-based IoT eSIM connectivity provider headquartered in Duluth, Georgia. The deal is CSL's second acquisition of 2026, following its purchase of IoTM Solutions in July.
CSL manages more than three million connections across building security, healthcare, utilities and transport. SIMPL brings three assets to the combined business: EverSIM, a multi-carrier eSIM — a programmable SIM card that can switch between up to 100 mobile network operators without a physical SIM swap — built on GSMA-certified infrastructure and compatible with 5G Standalone and NB-IoT networks; the Compass platform, a single dashboard and API for activating, monitoring and managing SIMs and eSIMs; and existing Tier-1 US carrier relationships including T-Mobile and Thales. SIMPL serves customers in retail, transport, energy and EV charging, as well as solution providers and resellers.
The announcement noted that enterprise eSIM deployments have historically taken a year or more because of carrier certifications and custom integrations. SIMPL's EverSIM is said to compress that timeline to days.
For organizations running IoT estates across multiple sites or geographies — including alarm systems, utility meters, fleet trackers or EV charging infrastructure — this consolidation is worth noting. Businesses currently using SIMPL Wireless can expect continuity of service; SIMPL will operate as a CSL Group company and its CEO confirmed existing customers are unaffected on day one. IT and facilities managers evaluating multi-carrier IoT connectivity management for North American deployments now have an additional vendor option with a combined global and US-local footprint.
